🇬🇧 International Competition (Glass Show Paris 14 2026)
The French Association of Glass Beadmakers (APAF) and the Glass Art And Design Paris association (GAAD Paris) are pleased to announce the first edition of an exhibition with a competition around glass pearls and jewelry.

This exhibition will be held during the Paris14 2026 Glass Fair which will take place in the annex of the Town Hall of the 14th arrondissement, from October 8 to 11, 2026..
For this first edition, the chosen theme is “From the Roaring Twenties to Haute Couture Fashion Shows, PARIS capital of fashion“
The competition is open to creators of glass beads and/or jewelry from around the world. Submitted works must be primarily made of glass, but may include other materials. All glass working techniques are accepted, provided they are not part of a series production.
Applications are made online and the works will then be evaluated by a jury. They will also be presented in a digital exhibition on the APAF websites, as well as that of GAAD, through December 15, 2026.
Registration fees per category: €15 for APAF members, €20 for non-members These registration fees will be used, among other things, to publish a booklet featuring the selected artists.
Calendar:
- April 15 to July 30, 2026: Registration Opening
- August 25, 2026: Notification of jury decisions to artists
- September 25, 2026: Deadline for receiving works in Paris. Please pay attention to potential customs delays.
- October 8-11, 2026: International Glass Fair Paris 14 – Exhibition at the Annex of the 14th District Town Hall in Paris
Jury : A panel of domain experts will evaluate all applications and select the works. Decisions made by the jury are final and cannot be contested.
Eligibility Criteria and Guidelines :
- Works must have glass as the main element and will be selected according to their originality, manufacturing quality, intentionality and connection to the theme. This call for submissions is open to artists working with glass in all its forms.
- Artists may submit their works individually or in groups. They may submit up to 3 works in the bead and/or jewelry category, but the selection will be limited to one piece per category.
- All submitted works must be original and must have been created in the past three (3) years (2024, 2025, 2026).
- The desired selling price of your works must be indicated. Please note that GAAD Paris will retain a 10% commission in case of sale.
- 1 to 4 images of each creation are expected (one photo showing the entire work for catalog publication, one close-up photo and two photos from other angles). Images must not contain any watermark or the name of the artist or bead. Image titles must not include the artist’s name. Image titles should be beadname_01, beadname_02, etc. Images will be used for evaluation as well as for the exhibition catalog and other advertisements related to the competition and exhibition.
- Image file specifications: Format: JPEG, PNG, TIFF. Dimensions: 1200 pixels or more on the shortest side. Resolution: 300 dpi. Size: 25 MB maximum.
- By submitting your image and information, you agree to the following:
- You authorize GAAD Paris and APAF to use the submitted image and information in any other publication or printed, online or promotional material.
- You authorize GAAD Paris and the APAF to use your image and information in the context of the exhibition.
- You authorize GAAD Paris and the APAF to use the image and information submitted in any other publication or printed media, online or for promotional purposes.
Shipping: Shipping information will be communicated to selected artists participating in the exhibition. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping costs to the exhibition venue. The packaging must be sufficiently robust to also serve for the return.
Sales: Works must be available for sale throughout the duration of the exhibition. The presence of the selected artist is not required during the exhibition. GAAD Paris, the exhibition organizer, will receive a 10% commission on sales.

Created by contemporary glass enthusiasts and collectors, GLASS ART & DESIGN Paris surrounds itself with artists, master glassmakers, designers and experts in order to highlight contemporary glass in the history of art and design. A selection that is both refined and international distinguishes the events organized by the association: two Contemporary Glass Biennials within the prestigious Orangerie in the Luxembourg Garden and a very successful first edition of Paris14 in 2025. This 2nd edition will again welcome 30 international artists using glass and its various techniques resolutely turned towards contemporary art.
